| Abstract: | SUMARRIES. The author deliberates, from the restorer's point of view, on the mutual influences and cycles chemical compounds in nature, art and humans. Chemical compounds are the units compos: structures of high order in nature and art. As Paracelsus was the first to slate, the dose is crucial for the positive or negative action of a compound on its surroundings. This is true in the same way for the components of air pollution, for medicine and for the concentration and time of reaction of a chemical used to conserve an art object. Based on this crucial fact, the author discusses the protective means and relevant rules that should be used and observed in the restoration workshop. |
