| Abstract: | SUMARRIES. The integrated system of protection of library collections from damage by insects should envisage the use of harmless preparations and methods with due regard for ecological and economical consequences. Preventive measures play the main role here. The objective of researchers is a more profound study of the biology of development, physiology and ethology of insects, and to work out principles of ecological forecasting on the basis of the reactions of live organisms to natural and anthropogenic factors. Being the methodological centre for the preservation of library stocks, the Lenin State Library proposes the 11 ration of a system to protect the entire library stock of the USSR from biodamage by the beginning of the 21st century. |
