Description
Summary:SUMMARIES. The programme of microfilming and microindexing collections covers unique objects in the whole country found in the Jagiellonian Library. However, it experiences frequent slippages due to a large number of orders for microfilms and microindexes of bound prints, periodicals and special collections placed by scientific and research institutions as well as private readers. Microfilms are made by the Photochemical Laboratory, while microindexes and microfilms of the largest sizes are made by a separate Division of Micrographic and Photographic Collections which also lends the microforms. The collection of microforms consists of 15 881 microfilm rolls and 57556 microindexes. They are (archive) negatives which have a corresponding number of microforms for lending in the form of positive copies and diaries.
