The purpose of the conference was to exchange views and information about the destructive impact of the atmosphere and micro-organisms on historical monuments.The congress debates were held in three theme sessions.The theme of the first session was the ecology of micro-organisms developing on historical objects. The present study papers concerned new methods of taxonomy of micro-organisms and their structures, the occurrence and physiology of biotic communities which contain micro-organisms. The theme of the second session was the biological sensitivity of organic and inorganic parent substances. The presented study papers concerned mutual interactions between organisms and the parent substances, the research methods and their evolution in microbiology. |
