| Summary: | SUMMARIES. This is an account of the conference's debates on the protection of archive and library collections organised by the Central Board of State Archives between 21-22 October 1999. The main topic of the conference was a presentation of the Dutch experience in this area, with special attention paid to the Delta Plan, whose comprehensive solutions and achieved results were discussed in detail by a representative of the National Archives of the Netherlands. Polish experience of recent years, especially the campaign to save flooded book collections during the flood of 1997, was also discussed. The debates were followed by a lively discussion, which involved the majority of conference participants.
