| Abstract: | Summaries. The results of a large number of accelerated aging tests on different papers were studied to find certain rules on how to use them to predict future aging behaviour. It became evident thai different tests to describe the quality of a paper have the same results, so that is seems enough to check only one. The same is true for machine direction and cross direction. Accelerated aging tests cannot give any information on the absolute lifetime of a paper, but only on the direction of change (better or worse) a certain single quality might provoke. Relevant tests must be done for a couple of a multiplicity of papers, both being exactly the same in all qualities with the exception of that certain and single one. |
