| Abstract: | SUMMARIES. Specific health problems caused by different fungi that can occur in the conservator-restorer's workplace are schematically described. Respiratory diseases (Sick Building Syndrome or Building Related Illness), as well as skin and nail infections due to contact with fungi are listed. The risks involved in using certain solvents and substances in powdered form are also discussed. In Italy the 626/94 legislation follows the European directives concerning the evaluation of health risks in the workplace. |
