520 3 |a CONCLUSION. In the light of the results obtained by SEC, it appears that neither water immersion nor gelatine sizing have any significant effect on ageing stability of iron gall ink containing paper. Gelatine may however still affect the rate of diffusion of the ink or its components during aquous treatments, as suggested by Gelsa Kolbe
