| Abstract: | SUMMARIES. Environmental monitoring of buildings and the correct scientific analysis of the infestation are necessary in a holistic conservation approach. Management of infestations in buildings and the associated health risks require an interdisciplinary approach by scientists, environmental monitoring specialists, health and safety specialists, engineers, architects and conservator-restorers. This article emphasizes the interrelationship of the indoor environment with micro-organisms, organic materials and historic collections. |
