Description
Abstract:SUMMARIES. In less than ten days after a major fire in the Rennes Parliament, the artworks, walls, ceilings and floors became covered in mould, due to the use of water to extinguish it. The initial cleaning treatments consisted of using quaternary ammonium, and "thermonebulisation " (release of a fungicide in the form of a dry vapour spray) in certain rooms at risk. Following this the walls were decontaminated with lime wash, the supporting wooden elements and floors were disinfected with quaternary ammonium and the artworks treated with a fungicide.
