Description
Abstract:CONCLUSION. The goal of this work was to study the light stability of ink-jet prints. Comparing used substrates it was determined that the most suitable substrate is PES foil (backlit), than paper of sample 1 (coated, glossy) and at least paper of sample 2 (coated, semi-gloss). Differences between samples 1 and 2 were rather small. In term of interpretation of non-chromatic parameters, the most suitable substrate was paper of sample 1. Its coating favourably affected the edge definition during the exposure. On the other hand, the PES substrate showed unsatisfactory properties. Concerning the stability of used inks, it cannot be stated which one is the best; interaction with substrate occured. Samples printed with special exterior inks showed their fine properties. Sample of self-adhesive foil Scitex (PVC) did not exceed value E*ab = 4 (C, K, R, G up to 2). Moreover water resistance, the important characteristic of these materials, was excellent.
